Hi Jim,

Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if what I have to share comes under the heading of information or a series of facts that may connect into a story, someday.

In 1911, Domenico Tianello arrived in the U.S. (unknown port or ship) and shortly afterward took up residence in Geneva, Ohio. In 1912 he married Maria De Felicibus (who was rumored to have "sent" for him), in Geneva. At that time, he claimed that his parents names were Guiseppe Tianello and Armina Gianzanto.

In 1913, in Collecorvino, Pescara, Abruzzo, (Maria's hometown) Maria De Felicibus married Domenico Di Renzo of Chieti, who stated that his parents names were Salvatore Di Renzo and the late Maria Di Ruscio.

Collecorvino was a small town in 1913. It is not likely that there were two Maria De Felicibus' in the same age bracket that would marry two Domenicos in the same time frame. It is likely that the Geneva couple returned to Collecorvino to re-"marry" in a more romantic setting, or possibly for the sake of their families.

Not all of the alterations to immigrant names were made by dialectically challenged clerks at our ports of entry. It's no secret that many Italians played games with their names enroute, or on arrival, for any number of reasons. At this time, it appears that Domenico participated in this practice. I have checked records in Italy and the U.S., and find no trace of the "Tianello" name prior to 1912. It's becoming easier to believe that my name is probably ficticious.

If any of these names, dates or events fit in with your information, let me know where you make the connection at and I'll search for more documentation.
