Dont' know if you ever received a response on this, but in Avis Williams' book on the Alabama DeWitts, she is referred to as Annie DeWitt, and was born in Oct. 1827, On June 17, 1843, she married Newton Wilson in Wilcox Co., AL. The Wilson's lived in the Cane Creek Beat of Choctaw Corner or Thomasville, the town, that more or less replaced Choctaw Corner. The 1855-1856 tax records of Clarke Co. indicate they lived in Rane 4 E., Township 11, Section 20, on 320 acrees. Annie's father owned 40 acres nearby. This land lies due east of present day Thomasville, just NE of Round Hill church and cemetery. IN the 1900 census, Annie Wilson was a widow, mother of 12 children, with 7 still living.

6) William DeWitt, b. 1637 in Virginia, died ?, married Ann Keene, William was son of
7) Jacob DeWitt, b. around 1600 in Holland, came to America
in 1637 to Jamestown, VA, married Anna J. Van Den Corput., James died in 1674 in Henrico, Va.
