August 14, 1803, Virginia Argus: By virtue of a decree of the court of the United States, for the fourth circuit in the Eastern Virginia District, bearing date of 10th day of December 1801, wherein John Tyndall Ware, executor of William Jones, deceased, who was surviving partner of Farrell and Jones, is plaintiff, & William Dandridge and Jane Dandridge, executor and executrix of Nathaniel West Dandridge, deceased. William Macon, John Johnson, and Robert Anderson, surviving trustees of the said Nathaniel West Dandridge, deceased, John Dandridge, Robert Dandridge, and Nathaniel Dandridge, sons of the said Nathaniel West Dandridge, Patrick Henry and Dorothea his wife, Philip Payne and Elizabeth his wife, John Spotswood Moore and Ann Katharina his wife, Woodson Payne and Mary his wife, and Archer Payne, the said Dorothea, Elizabeth, Ann Katharina, and Mary, daughters of the said Nathaniel West Dandridge, deceased, and devises in his will and ___________ Dandridge, and _________ of Alexander Spotswood Dandridge, defendants….
WILL BE SOLD: To the highest bidder, for ready money, at the dwelling house of Mr. William Pulliam, in Hanover County, on the 11th day of September next, the Negroes mentioned in the deed on which the above mentioned decree is founded, if delivered, FOUR THOUSAND acres of land, lying on Allen’s Creek, in the parish of Saint Martins, in the said county of Hanover; ---- Also: FOURTEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX ACRES, lying on Turkey Creek in the parish and county aforesaid – or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to raise the sum of nine hundred and fifteen dollars and sixty eight cents, with interest thereon to be computed after the rate of five per centum per annum, from the sixteenth day of February, one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five, till payment, and costs of suit, and expenses attending the sale.
