John Cole of Newport, Gloucestershire, England had at least three sons, one of whom was Richard Cole. As far as I can determine, the other two sons were Thomas and William. In Richard Cole's will of July, 1599 he states his own son had died without issue and he therefore named his nephew Richard (the son of his brother William) as his heir.
Richard's first wife was a Smyth and his second, Alice Carr, daughter of William Carr.
I am trying to determine if any of these Cole men are related to me. I have no dates to go by other than Richard's year of death. In his biography it states he asked to be buried in the grave of his first wife, Smyth, in the parish church of All Saints. Others mentioned in his biography/will as executors are his brother, William, Christopher Kedgwyn, grocer, and Edmund Carr, and Thomas White, merchant. An overseer was George Snigge, his cousin.
Does anybody have Richard's exact date of birth or details of his father or siblings?
