Hi Pattisev, I forgot to mention in my first post that I believe the father of Reilly’s Hugh age 34, Thomas 42, Kate 28, living with their mother Rose 65 in Woodpole, Castlekeeran, Meath on the 1901 Census, was a brother of our Bridget and Judith.
Unfortunatly the only likely person I could find in the baptisms is Hugh Reilly married to Rose Farrelly, who has a Thomas and Catherine about the right age, but no Hugh recorded on RootsIreland and Hugh for the father doesn’t fit with Griffiths.
My Fitzsimons ggf is Peter the baker in Kells, who came from Kilmainhamwood.
Molly [Flood] McDonnell, had one sister a nun, and 2 brothers, I believe they died young but my cousin Declan posted as “Flood from Oldcastle” years ago thinking they went to America. Her uncle Terence Flood of The Imperial Hotel, Oldcastle had a small farm in Woodpole on Griffith’s, and I believe they probably came from around there.
On Molly’s obit which used to be posted but I can’t see it now, her relatives are listed as Wm,Patk,John,Matt and Mich Mulvany, not uncommon names in the area, so it wasn’t until I saw a Rathbourne on Daniel Mara’s obit, that I could be sure which ones they were. Rathbourne is a very old and unusual name, the oldest business in Ireland.
The others were the said O’Mara and John Smith, a very common name but with a Rathbourne staying on the census it now became easy. John Hoey [Kells] I had been looking at the wrong one in the past, until I saw the court case between him and John Mulvany. The remaining ones are Pat Tully and P Hand, not on the Mulvany side it would seem, the latter I searched endlessly for, only to discover him yesterday as he is miss-spelt on both census’s.
I am not signed up to search anywhere at the moment, so will leave them for a bit.
If you contact me at fitzkeaney eircom.net I will send you our branch, also the obit’s and some other stuff. I read that Luke son of Matthew, Curragh, Carnaross went to Chicago, is that your line ?
All the Best, JIM
