I am looking for information on a family of carrolls living in New York City in the second half of the 19th century.

I have a Roger Carroll, b.1827/8 in "U.S."
married to Hannah Burns
b.1822/23 Ireland d. 1893 New York City

They have two children.
1. Margaret Carroll b.1854, married to ---- Barry.
reported as widowed and without children in 1880.
2. Michael Timothy Carroll b.1857 d.1916

Michael Carroll was a physician at Bellevue Hospital.
He specialized in sports medicine.
He married Mary Murray b.1865 d.1908
the daughter of Michael Murray and Catherine Collier, who were prominent in the Cotton business and worked on South street.

They had several children:

1. Lucy Mary Carroll b. 1888 d. 1920
2. Madeline Carroll b. 1890 d. 1920
3. Genevieve Carroll b. 1894 d. 1982
4. Ignatius Carroll
5. Roger Carroll.

I have no idea what became of Ignatius or Roger Carroll. Ignatius probably stayed in New York, but I heard Roger moved to California.

We (of course) also have an alleged connection to Charles Carroll of Carrollton. I do think this is probable - because Roger Carroll's birthplace is listed as "U.S." , Michael Carroll studied medicine in upstate New York, and Dr. Daniel Carroll, from the Duddington line of maryland carrolls, relocated from Upstate New York to New York City in the 1820s, and was the right age to be Roger's father.

This is my only circumstantial evidence - but it may explain how we are related if we are indeed.

If any of this sound familiar, please let me know.
