Hi. I am the grandson (on my mother's side) of Horace and Eliza Burness. I am 61. You said: "We have some family photographs along with photographs of the homestead in the hills that overlook Lake Eildon. This home was built on Big River at Railway Creek, Enochs Point, Vic, Aust."

I have one largish photo directly from Horace and Eliza ("Grammy", as we called her) showing exactly the same. The photo looks down on -- I assume -- Horace and Eliza's guesthouse (?) that they ran at Enoch's Point. Cannot as yet locate the photo album this B/W photo is in...

Also, Eliza's CYLINDER GRAMOPHONE: I wonder if anyone knows if she and Horace had this (or a) cylinder gramophone in this guesthouse? My sister's daughter has this gramophone in her garage (the last time I saw it was around 1977 around the time of Eliza's death; it was, I assume, taken from Grammy's house before it was sold; then the gramophone ended up in the possession on my sister, but - due to her separation and divorce - was then stolen by her ex, which then ended up in my niece's garage after the ex died). I want to get this and take digital recordings from all the cylinders, if this is possible. I want to know what kind of electrical music might have been listened to in this (almost ancient) guesthouse. Fascinating!
