Hopefully you get this so many years later! My grandfather was a Bua. I traced the Sicilian name back to Albanian origins...the first land grant in Sicily given to an Albanian refugee in like the year 500 was given to a Bua. My Bua family came to NY from Marsala, Sicily...however, my grandfather's mother was from Cesaro, Messina, Sicily. Interestingly, I was just in Cesaro last month and met up with some amazing distant cousins who showed me around. There were and still are people with the last name Bua in Cesaro! This started me wondering if they were somehow related to my Bua family and perhaps could be how my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother met each other, even though he was from clear across to the other end of Sicily and they were married in New York. In any event, people from Cesaro are amazing and are very hospitable...they will help you if you reach out to a Bua from there!
