CHILLICOTHE: Lila Maxine Dumbauld, 94, of Chillicothe, Ohio, (Ross County)died 7:03 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Traditions of Chillicothe following a short illness.

She was born January 16, 1920, in Alexandria, Ohio to the late George and Marie White Brooks. On November 22, 1945 she married Frederick W. Dumbauld, who died May 14, 1969.

Surviving are children, Ann L. (Lawrence) Gingerich, of Creola, OH, Larry L. (Cathy) Dumbauld, of Chillicothe and Dennis B. (Josie) Dumbauld, of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Margaret (Chad) Ferguson, Heather Gingerich, Christina Gingerich Deshaies, Erica Gingerich and husband Russell Flagg, David K. and Matthew R. Dumbauld, James (Christina) Dumbauld, Carrie (Adam) Hooten and Elizabeth Dumbauld; great-grandchildren, Katie, Emillee, Brandon, Alexa, Gracie, Cora, Bella and Simon;
brothers, David (Teresa) Brooks, of Columbus, Ohio and John (Linda) Brooks, of Alexandria, OH; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Fred Nichols, of Alexandria, OH; and a special friend, Emily "Pat" Smith, of Newark, Ohio.

She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jack Dawkins; and a special cousin, Robert Nichols.

Maxine was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church.

She was a retired teacher's aide at the former McArthur School in Chillicothe.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation - 26 Broadway, 14th Floor - New York, NY 10004, or to a charity of choice in her name.
