Finally stumbled on this forum -- thank goodness. I began researching my families 5 years back with my father. When he died, his computer ate all our work. So I'm back at square one. Here's my Brinn connection:
My mother was Lois Lee Brinn, b. 1931 in Bath, NC. Her parents were Harry S. and Amanda/Anna Brinn. They had many children -- I know for sure of 7 but several children did non survive into adulthood -- Lois Lee, Anna Dae, (FNU) Gayle, Meredith, Myrtice, William (Bill), Harry S. (called him "Uncle Brother"; his siblings called him "Skinner"). Amanda/Anna died ca. 1951/52 and Harry remarried "Nana".
The Brinns had a tobacco/truck farm in NC until depression. During/after depression they moved to Virginia Beach where grandaddy died in August 1972. I think he's buried at the family plot on Uncle Jatha's farm in NC (not sure where exactly).
Of all the children (I think there were between 11 and 13 in total) only two are living -- Aunt Myrtice, the oldest, and Aunt Gayle, the youngest.
Anyone with info please get in touch.
