They are not the same, but there has to be a connection. My family insists that my Great Grand father Jesse Lee James (Pricey's husband) was cousins to Jesse Woodson James (outlaw. In fact the Wadena paper carried an article about it years ago. Whether conjecture or otherwise, I am not sure. My father (85)(Frank R. James) maintains that he was named after the Frank James. When qustioned about it, he merely says check the dates. They knew he was dying and named me after him. My father was born one day before Frank James died. another conjecture? I don't know, I am really trying to research the answers, but it is hard. you either run into dead ends or the direct line of Jesse and Frank who are discouraged by all the want-a-be James's. I would be willing to pay for a copy of that tape. I am preparing a family history book for our first ever Jesse Lee James reunion in Whitefish, Montana in August. mitch@nidlink .com Mary
