My name is Renée M. Boudreau. My grandparents, Joseph Michel (now called Michael) Boudreau and Marie Eugénie Saulnier moved from the Meteghan Staion and Saulnierville,NS, area in the early 1920-30's shortly after they were married. My grandmother, passed on in 1988, is buried in Ipswich, Ma. My grandfather, who is 100, still lives in the house he built back in the 30's,in Ipswich. He used to work in Glousghter *forget the correct spelling* as a carpenter i think. his family line comes from Wedgeport, NS. his mother was Suzanne Leblanc one of 16 children of Francois a Thom Leblanc and his wife whose name I forget. His father was Jean Batiste Boudreau who was a farmer-he came from Wedgeport, NS there is a story in my family about him and his three brothers back in Wedgeport-on sundays right before church service him and his brothers would finish their fishing and such and head for church-they'd walk across a wooden bridge near the church and they earned the nick name the "four horses" *Translated by my aunt when talking to my grandfather in french*...people always knew when they were coming because the sounds of their boots on the bridge sounded like horses. *Just thought I'd add that story in here. Their parents were Onesiphore *Siphore* Boudreau and Eddése Pothier.
