Hi all,
I have this family tree passed on to me with loads of names and dates!
It begins with Charles Botkin b.1738 in Northern Ireland. He and a
brother, George, came to America with the forces of General Braddock
to fight in the French and Indian War. George escaped into the interior. In 1777,
Charles Botkin aka Bodkin enlisted in Capt. David Scott's Co. of the Ninth Virginia
Regiment. He fought under General George Washington at Valley Forge. His batallion was sent to Carlyle to guard the Hessian troops. While on guard duty he met and fell in love with Jemima Karl and they were married when the war was over.
Major Issac Karl, Jemima's father, changed the family name to Curl.
The Botkin and Curl families resided in the Virginias until about 1809 when Charles immigrated to Sinking River Valley, North-east of the present town of Springfield, Ohio.
The children of Charles and Jemima are all listed in this tree with dates of birth and death.

There are other branches followed especially that of Simon Botkin, my g-g-grandfather. He was born on Oct 1st,1842 in Morgan Co, Ohio.He was a Civil War veteran Company H,19th.Iowa Volunteer Infantry.
Pioneered to Sumner County Kansas, were he homesteaded Sept.1st,1870 and married another pioneer,Almira Gilliland
I have all of this info with details...they had 6 kids, one of which was my great grandmother,Cora May, whom died when I was a child.

I'll be happy to help if I can!
