I am a direct descendant of Squire Boone Phebe Rissler. Phebe does not contain an "o" on her gravestone and she has some grandchildren also named Phebe. I will not dispute the Cother. However, Squire Phebe Boone's son, William Myrtle Boone wrote a booklet naming all of the family, and he had the name Cotner. I am sure the "n" could have been an "h" since he hand wrote it,and then someone miss-typed it. Squire and Phebe are buried in the Squire Boone cemetery in rural Boone County, Iowa (my home for 20 years). Their children were:
William Myrtle, Matilda Ann, Err Rissler, Melmoth, Hannah C., Elizabeth, Julia, John L., Harrison Tyler (twins). Tyler was my great grandfather through his daughter, Minnie Boone. I have much information on the Boone families down to the present day. There are 6 generations of this Boone branch buried in this Iowa cemetery.
Nancy had two daughter, Melissa J. Boone who married ? Scot and Nancy C. married Simpson Smyth in 1841. She died before 1908 in Kansas.
In Iowa today, there is a Squire Boone, son of Daniel, son of Eldon, son of Rowe, son of Lewis, son of Tyler, son of Squire ( Phebe), son of Moses, son of Squire (Jr.), son of Squire (Sr), son of George III. There were many Squire's and Daniel's in each generation, very confusing indeed.
