I am looking for the parents of this Lloyd N. Benson. He was born about 1826 in Maryland. He married Ann M. Carson (b. about 1829) on 20 May 1847 in Baltimore, MD. Her parents were John N. Carson and Corilla "Coralie" (Hobbs) Carson. Lloyd & Ann (Carson) Benson had 3 children that I am aware of: Ann M., b. 1848, d. young; Loomis / Luommus / Tuonmis, b. 1849, d. young; and John N., b. 6 May 1853, d. 3 Aug 1919 in Frostburg, Allegany, MD.
Lloyd N. & Ann M. (Carson) Benson are my GGG grandparents on my paternal side.
I found a quilt online that was made in Baltimore. It is called "The Jackson Quilt" in the Baltimore Album of the DAR Museum. It was made by members of the Baltimore Methodist Church. The names of both Ann Carson and Lloyd Benson appear on the quilt. Also, the initials C.C., which are believed to stand for Coralie Carson, Ann's mother. The quilt is believed to have been made sometime after Andrew Jackson's death in 1845, but before the marriage of Ann Carson to Lloyd Benson in 1847, since she still used her maiden name on the quilt.
Please contact me with any information on this family. Thanks!
