Perry county, Carrs Fork Coal Co., Mine No.1, 1926MAY24, Grant Barger, nationality American, age 21, single, no survivors, killed by fall of slate inside mine, no inquest held

Slate is dark shale lying next to the coal beds. It contains impressions of the plant life of distant ages, proving the vegetable origin of coal
