Well, since I posted that message, I've found some more puzzle pieces, but no definite answers. Here are the additional Arnall references I have found:

1803 Franklin Co. GA (NE GA) Tax lists:
Arnal, Aren
Arnal, John Jr.
Arnal, John Sr.
Arnal, Thomas

1806 GA Land Lottery - Captain Sherod Malone's District - thoe source I had gives name of drawers and the number of draws they got - doesn't mention whether they won or not:

Arnall, Edmond (not pd. tax) - 1
Arnall, Sally wid. 1
Arnall, Sally trustee orphs of Daniel Arnall - 1
Arnall, Joshua - 2
Arnall, John - 1
Arnall, William - 2

I don't know where Capt. Malone's district was located, if we could figure that out, it might help us figure out who William H. Arnall married and about other children. I'm assuming that this William Arnall is the same as our ancestor since the name Arnall isn't all that common.

And a few misc. marriage records:

Arnall, Sarah m. John L. Cantrell 4-12-1846 Carroll Co. GA
Arnold, John G. (this is John Gholston Arnall) m. Nancy M. Gibbs 11-25-1833 Morgan Co. GA

So I've found definite links of the Arnall family to NE GA in the areas Franklin County once contained (Franklin county used to be much larger than it is today) and also to Morgan Co. (E of Atlanta), and to Carroll County (near Coweta where most of the Arnalls seemed to end up) but no definite links to Butts County even though both of the books I've found said he moved to Butts. Of course the area that Butts County was created from had been indian territory back in the 1700's when he supposedly moved down here. That area was not ever part of Franklin County.

I'm not sure who any of those other Arnalls I mentioned above were. It certainly suggest that William Henry Arnall did not move here alone. I've tried looking for Sally, Daniel, Thomas, and Edmond Arnall in other records without success. All the Arnall descendants in GA I've ever found were all descended from John Gholston Arnall. I don't know if he had any siblings, although the Sarah Arnall who married in 1846 looks like she could possibly be a younger sister. In some records, John Gholston Arnall was listed as Arnold instead of Arnall, so perhaps he had brothers and cousins who ended up changing their name to the more common spelling.

You mentioned that you have photos of some of the gravesites, do you happen to have one of John Gholston Arnall or his wife? I've been told he was buried in Newnan, GA, but I don't know where.

What is your line of descent?

Mine is:
1) William H. Arnall
2) John Gholston Arnall b. 12-6-1811 d. 12-8-1873
3) Joshua Fleming Arnall b. 7-26-1852 d. 8-15-1904, buried in Senoia Cemetery in Coweta Co., GA
4) Luther Edwards Arnall b. 1-24-1881 d. 2-22-1971, buried in Senoia Cemetery
5) Carolyn Arnall, my maternal grandmother who is still living

Also, if you're curious, you might be interested in knowing that the late former Governor of GA, Ellis Gibbs Arnall (governor from 1943-1947) was also a descendant of John Gholston Arnall and was from Coweta Co. GA. Ellis Gibbs Arnall's father was Joseph Gibbs Arnall, son of Henry Clay Arnall, son of John Gholston Arnall.
