I am researching my husband's family tree. To date I have been totally at a "Brick Wall". Finding anything prior to 1930 has been unsuccessful. We know Giuseppe Borsina and his wife Caroline arrived in America from Sicily around the year 1912. We don't know if they came together. They resided in Manhatten until the mid to late 1930s.The name Joseph Basine was listed in the 1930 Federal Census because we also see listed Caroline and some of the children at the address we know they lived at in Loyde, NY.I have not been able to find anything other than an obit of an Eduarda Borsina Anzalone who we think was Giuseppe's sister. She was married to Frank Anzalone. Giuseppe's children have had their names spelled different ways throughout the early 20th Century (Borsini, Borsina and Borsino). My husband's mother went by BORSINA. However, she claims it was Borsini. We have her birth certificate. The name was spelled what appears to be Borsenno. It was not very clear on the copy.
If anyone has any info on the family we would truly love to hear from you. Thanks!
