This should be in the Sweden thread but here it goes:
Birth index Sweden:
Name: Knut Sven Waldemar
Birth Date: 1 Okt 1869
Finska, Stockholm, Sverige
Father: E Ina Hultin
Mother: Johanna Albertina Wennerström
The birth record is a bit confusing because at first it might look like Waldermar is a last name, but when you check the other birth records you can tell it is not and Hultin is the last name of the child.
- you have a last name that matches... Hultin and Holton are close enough.
- matching birth place Stockholm
- exact match for birth date to the day 1 Oct 1869.
This makes it a very compelling record, there are two strikes against with one not too concerning, the first name of Knut becoming Charles. Anglicization would explain that, Knut doesn't translate well into English.
The second is harder to explain Charles lists his father as Charles while the birth record indicates it is Emanuel. Charles is not a Swedish name to begin with I think sothat also works in your favour,
I have a feeling you have the right record though as there is really only one strike against, but the other info is very compelling.
