Was he a bigamist?

In doing searches for marriages on I came across an unusual situation that makes me believe my relative may have been a bigamist.

Marriage 1 - 2 May 1805 of Jean De Kinder and Catharina Lots in Beersel, Vlaams Brabant

Marriage 2 - 29 Jan 1806 of Jean De Kinder and Joanna De Schouwer in Meise, Vlaams Brabant

Catharina Lots dies 9 Apr 1827 in Beersel.

I checked Nieuwenrode 1806-1870 for a death record for Joanna De Schouwer. I also checked Meise 1814-1838. I only found 1 Joanna but it had the wrong parents. She might have died between 1806-1814 but I could not locate those records on FS.

Marriage 3 - 24 Oct 1827 of Jean De Kinder and Petronella Eders in Ukkel, Brussels (the only spouse mentioned is Catharina Lots deceased with no mention of Joanna De Schouwer)

I could find no divorce between Jean and Catharina Lots and her death record says he is her spouse. Even in today's family law environment it would be almost impossible to get a divorce in 8 months in time to re-marry. Did he commit bigamy?

Catharina's death record can be found here:

Even more confusing is that his marriage extract from 1806 appears to indicate that Jean De Kinder's mother, Anna Tielemans, was either present or gave her consent to his marriage to Joanna De Schouwer (the record is faded and hard for me to read) but Anna would have known that he was already married to poor Catharina Lots who does not die until 1827.

Any ideas on this mystery? If I could find the death record for Joanna De Schouwer it might shed some light on the situation. Perhaps their marriage was annulled after the fact which is why she is not mentioned in the 1827 marriage of Jean De Kinder and Petronella Eders?
