Question of advice or thoughts based on experience. From what I can tell from my research was it entirely possible that in the late 1700s and/or early 1800s the date of birth for a person would differ from the birth record to the household examination?
For instance my 4x Great-Grandfather was born (by birth record) November 26, 1771 in Daretorp but in all the household examinations and forward even including his death, the date January 26, 1771 in Daretorp was used. Is this possible that back then mistakes like that were common or should I be concerned I am going down the rabbits hole of close but not my grandfather? I should also mention that parents and everything else seem to line up where its really weird if its not the same person, but hey stranger things have happened.
Just let me know what you guys think?
