Some years ago I wrote to the Music and Theatre of Sweden (holding the archives of the Royal Conservatory) for information on Emil Anderson, and was informed:
"There are no signs of Emil Anderson in the printed lists of pupils for the period 1893-1899.
"The names of EA’s teachers do not fit: No teacher is named Anderson, nor Bergen. (One is named A Andersen and teaching violoncello and bass, and one is named A Bergenson teaching “harmonilära” which may be interpreted as music theory.) However, it is correct that J. Lindberg was a teacher of violin plus ensemble- and orchestra playing."
