I found an ancestor surname Söderberg in the 1894 Landskrona confirmation records. It seems in the parent field it lists Enkan Gertrud Söderberg. What is the word that comes before? hos? nos? I can't tell what it says. Help would be appreciated.
Second, where can I find out more about confirmations? I don't know much about this religion so I am unsure what to compare it to. For example, is it a cultural event? And looking at the list of kids names in alphabetical order - would they have known each other or met in person, or is this just a list of people the priest/church leader visited in the area? Is it a class they attended? Is there an article anywhere discussing specifically what they would learn? Finally, further down the row next to my ancestor's name are ditto marks, then an "ab" then an "a/b" What does that mean?
Here are the references for the page I'm looking at:

Thank you in advance.
