If you look below the box in which posts are written, you will see this line.

Attachments: Attach a file

That means that if you have this record scanned onto your computer, you can attach that file to your message and then others can look at the same page and help you decipher the location. Try to keep the file small (Jpg).

However, I think I've found them on the Emibas CD, even though the father was born later than you thought. Emibas was made from registrations in the Swedish parish to go to a foreign country. It is about 75% complete.

I suppose that your "Schinnig or Schernig" is probably Skänninge, which is a parish name in Östergötland county. (The spellings you have seem to be phonetic attempts to spell Skänninge, which is not pronounced the way it looks.) Records were kept in the parish, so that will be a great help to you if you try to research in Swedish records.

I checked the source from Emibas (a scan of the original household examination book, which is a parish record similar in format to a census but far more detailed, and updated continually instead of every ten years).

The parents were married 12 November 1878, according to this record and the third given name of Agnes was Emilia.

You can see the location of Skänninge parish in the MJÖLBY section of this map.

The parish Allhelgona (where the father/husband was born) also can be found in the MJÖLBY section of the above map.

The wife/mother was born in a different county entirely. She was born in Fägre parish in Skaraborg county.

I suggest that you also research these people using the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center. The Swenson Center has a website (Google it.) but its extensive collection of records is NOT online. We need to go there to research or pay them to research for us. They have records which are difficult or even impossible to find elsewhere, and many of us have found not just the parish of birth in Sweden, but also records of baptisms, marriages, funerals, etc. in their records. They have a fantastic archive.
