If you look it up with spelling 'lefse' and the word Hardanger - you can find that online too. My emigrant ancestors who had those Hardanger roots considered potato lefse a more extravagant treat when they had the availability to the proper ingredients. They sometimes would fix lutefisk around Christmas but celebrated their freedom from what they considered food for hard times. The earliest family emigrants would be notified that a barrel of lutefisk had arrived at the small town grocery when the grocer would just nail a slab of the cured dry cod to the front of the store.
My family also maintained the unique needlework tradition known as Hardanger embroidery.

I believe you will find earlier family links from these persons you started the thread about to the originally mentioned Øvre Børve in Ullensvang. I have early ancestors from that farm myself.
