Hi Polymove, and eveyrone associated with Charles E. Taylor,

I'm an archivist at ARchives New Zealand, and I'm working with te German Samoa Administration files from 1900 to 1914.

There is a Personnel file for Charles Taylor, which is made up of two volumes, one held in Wellington and the other in Apia. The Wellington file reference is ACGA 6051 bundle 127, [German reference- IA 19] (volume 1), and in Apia S3_IG14_F4, this has been digitised.

The majority of the files are in German naturally, but there are a number of letters and memos in English. I will try to email them to polymove and vgodity?

Charles Taylor seems like an amazing character to me. My great great grandfather was one of the first Samoan Tutors with the LMS around 1900, and is also mentioned in the 1907 cylopedia too - Sa'aga, but not with a paragraph and picture like Mr. Taylor.

I am endevouring to make these files accessible online and will attempt to keep you posted.

Have a great reunion,

Uili Fecteau
