Susan R Maney was my Great Grandmother. She married David D. Wilson in 1852 or 1851. She had one child by her first husband, who had died.
They come to Wisconsin, I believe with Susan's brother John and his family. My grandfather was born in New York in 1852. They settled in Lind Township and had the rest of their family.
My wife and I live in Belvidere Il. and do not have the genealogy information on the laptop here, We stay in Northern Wisconsin in the summer, but we are schuled to return to Belvidere in about the third week of Sept,
At that time I will forward to you a family Group sheet when we get home.Susan died in Waupaca county in 1898 and is buried in the Lind Center cemetary on the Wilson plot.
My father told me his father came to Wis with the rest of the family in 1854. My father stated they came via Hudson river to the Erie canel, then by scooner to Green Bay Wis.From there they connected to river system and went to Waupaca couty on the Wolf River. There was no trains there yet so they had to hike the rest of way, about 7 miles. John Maney went further maybe 25 miles to their homestead.
Sincerly
Ralph Wilson
