Stromer, Norman N. “Bud’’

Norman N. “Bud’’ Stromer, age 86, of Pulcifer, passed on Tuesday morning, April 13, 2004, at Sharpe Care Ltd., Oconto Falls.

Bud was born October 21, 1917, in Gillett to the late Nicholas and Cora (Suring) Stromer. Bud served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes Central Europe. On May 31, 1947, Bud married Jane I. Horsens at Bethel Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley.Bud worked with his father, Nick, and brother, Harold, at Stromer’s Garage, Gillett, until 1971. For 15 years, he was employed by Carver Boat Co., Pulaski, retiring in 1983. Bud was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, Gillett and the Luebke-Robinson VFW Post #8314, Gillett.

Bud is survived by his wife, Jane, Pulcifer; his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Olson; and their children, Elizabeth, Brianna and Steven, all of Nashville, Tenn; his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Para and their children, Katherine, all of Pewaukee; and Michael Pittman, Jr., Memphis, Tenn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Harold and his sister, Evelyn Baker.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, and then at Tabor United Methodist Church, Gillett, Saturday, after 10 a.m. Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with a friend of the family officiating. Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett, with Military Rites conducted by the Gillett VFW and American Legion.
