Victor J. Sperberg
Victor J. Sperberg, 89, Mountain, died at Woodlands in Suring on Saturday, August 19, 2006.
He was born in Red River (Shawano County) on December 2, 1916 to the late William and Grace (Buettner) Sperberg. Victor married Delia Marsh July 22, 1939. Over the years he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for several road construction companies. Victor retired in 1980 and greatly enjoyed deer hunting, watching Packer Games, and Old Western Movies. He was a member of the Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church in Lakewood.
Survivors include his wife Delia; three daughters and their families: Marsha (Allen) Johnson, Penny (Dalton) Heimerman both of Suring, Terry Flick of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; three sons and their families: Victor (Joy) Sperberg, Dick Sperberg, Roman (Nancy) Sperberg all of Mountain; four sisters, Ethel Porath and Joan Rogers both of Neenah, Jean Tetting of Shawano, Patsy Gruetzmacher of Gresham; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Davis; two sons, Roland and Jack; four brothers, Urban, Roland, Gordon and Merton, and six grandchildren: Merton, Michelle, Bryce, Victor Gene Jr., Jackie and Delia.
Visitation was held at the Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church in Lakewood on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 beginning at 9 a.m. Funeral Services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Scott VanLaanen officiating. Burial in Mountain Cemetery. Gruetz-macher Funeral Home, Suring in charge of arrangements.
