Jeanne-

Your reply is most welcomed. I look forward to reading more after you have talked to your family in Green Bay.

A lot of the older Racine newspapers are available to view on-line via a link through many libraries throughout Wisconsin. All you need to view them is be a registered library patron to one of the many participating libraries and they can help you from there. The service the libraries use to offer this access is called BadgerLink. BadgerLink partners with NewspaperArchives.org which is the database that operates the on-line access.

I'm attaching a snippet from an old newspaper, looking back, that tells a bit about the first Meissner to show up in the Racine area. I'm not positive but it looks like this William may be a brother to your Simon. You probably already are aware of the information but just in case, I thought it would be useful to you.

SISU!
John
