Esten L. Stein
Esten Leonard Stein was born April 14, 1900 to Adolph and Gjorand Stein in Spring Lake Township, Pierce County, WI. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith in infancy. On May 7, 1916 he was confirmed by the Rev. D. Kvaase in the Spring Lake Church.
He spent his entire life at home. The last few years he and his sister Hanna have farmed and worked together on the home farm. He passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly Tuesday evening, April 28th of a heart attack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Albert and Robert, who died during World War I and Dr. Edward Stein in 1952.
He is survived by his sister, Hanna, at home, three brothers, Edwin and Conrad of Spring Valley and Alf of Spring Lake. He is also survived by seven nephews and four nieces and several more distant relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 1, 1959 at the Spring Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. W. C. Aanestad officiating. Interment was in the Spring Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
