Agnes Regina Nyeggen, age 60 of Spring Valley, died Thursday, November 24, 1994 at the Spring Valley Health Care Center.
Agnes was born March 4, 1934, the daughter of Andrew and Amanda (Kutzke) Timm in Weston Township, Dunn County, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hatchville, and has been a long-time member of Spring Lake Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.
Agnes grew up near Hatchville where she attended Starkey Elementary School in Weston Township. She attended Menomonie Agricultural High School for three years and attended Spring Valley High School for one year, graduating in1952. Agnes worked for Reid's Hatchery in Spring Valley a number of years.
While working at the hatchery Agnes met and married Olaf Nyeggen. They were married Nov. 7, 1953 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hatchville.
Agnes and Olaf lived and farmed in Spring Lake Township all their married life.
Agnes was an active member of Spring Lake Lutheran having served as Secretary, taught Sunday School and was currently Treasurer of Spring Lake W.E.L.C.A.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Olaf of Spring Valley, 5 sons and 4 grand-children; Steven and his wife Sandra of Spring Valley and their children Ryan and Jessica; Ronald and his wife Eve of Ellsworth, WI; Larry and his wife Angela of Egan, MN and their children Bryce and Emily; Randy of River Falls, WI and Mark and his wife Tracey of Ellsworth. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Andrew Timm of St. Paul, MN and Alex Timm and his wife Ruth of Beaver Dam, WI, one sister Amanda, Mrs. Jerry Gasperlin of St. Paul, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley with funeral services Monday, Nov. 28. 1994 at 11 a.m. at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, Spring Valley with Rev. Keith Holste officiating. Burial was in Spring Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
