April 7, 1876 she married Andrew Johnson. The young couple at once began house keeping on the groom's farm in Spring Lake which has since been their home. Ten children were born to them, all of whom, with the exception of one who died in infancy were living: They are Joe of Elmwood, Milton at home, Ida (Mrs. Adolph Anderson) of Spring Valley, Charley and Iver of Minneapolis, Henry at home, Marie (Mrs. Gust Nelson) of Spring Valley and Fred of Chicago.

She died February 11, 1932. Funeral was held from the home and the new Spring Lake Lutheran Church being the first service held there.
