Clara Serine Anderson
Clara Serine (Anderson) Anderson was born August 24, 1889 on the home farm in Spring Lake of parents Carl and Sirianna Hogenson.
She was baptized in the Spring Lake Lutheran Church and was confirmed there on May 8, 1904 by Rev. D. Kvaase. She spent her entire life on the farm with the exception of two years at the Dunn County Agricultural School in Menomonie, and three months working in Minneapolis.
On September 29, 1920 she was united in Holy Wedlock to Milton Anderson by Pastor S. Berven.
They were blessed with two children, Muriel and Corvin the later dying May 25, 1928 at the age of three months.
Mrs. Anderson had been in poor health for some time, until her death Sunday, September 5, 1954 at the Menomonie Hospital, where she had been a patient for over six weeks. She died at the age of 65.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Galen Nelson of Spring Lake, one brother, Anton Hogenson, and one sister, Inga Hogenson of Elmwood, three grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Services were held from the Spring Lake Lutheran Church on Wednesday, September 8, 1954, with burial in the Spring Lake Cemetery. Rev. Carsten Smeby officiating.
