I'm from the Dickman family.
Theodor Dickman married to Gertrud Koch came here between 1845 and 1849. Their one child, Mary Catherine was born in Germany in 1845. Anna Christine was born December 18, 1849 in Wisconsin. I "believe" he is the brother of William. Theodor was born to Johann Theodor Herman Dieckmann and Maria Anna Meyer in Ascheberg, Westfalia (I'm hoping my research is right, I'm pretty meticulous, but......it is just all putting it together)

After 6 children Maria Anna died in childbirth on January 27, 1821

Hermann married Catherine Anna Sophia Bolte on May 26, 1821, they had 9 children one being William born August 27th 1823.

In the 1850 Wisconsin Census there is.....William & Christina - They had 13 children - their first being John Herman (I have baptism from the church, he was born January 19, 1851) he married Katherine Schreiner - they had 11 children in Minnesota and then moved to North Dakota.

Then a John Dickmann born in 1827 (I have a marriage from Old St. Mary's Church in Milwaukee - July 5, 1853 "I joined in marriage John Herman Dickmann, 25, son of Herman Dickmann & Elizabeth Harden with Elizabeth Herman, 20 daughter of Nicholas Herman & Elizabeth Klumb. witness was Theodore Dickmann" Can't figure out if he was another brother from a "different mother or a cousin"

Then there is "my" John Theodore with his family. It looks like they were all living on the same farm

All these "Johns" drive me nuts

Anyone have anything else?
