"You obviously have a different Martha Berger. Mine was my great-grandmother who died in 1959."

I was responding to the other Berger poster in the thread.

"... Otto Jenss, who I believe was born in Milwaukee in 1880. His wife was Martha Berger, and their daughter, Rose Jenss, was born in Milwaukee on July 29, 1899. Otto Jenss and Martha Berger were divorced in Milwaukee November 17, 1917 ..."

You may already have looked at the 1917 divorce case, if not, it may be on file at Milwaukee County Historical Society. In Milwaukee research, the Protestant/Lutheran baptism records can be a good place for hints for research leads. An incomplete transcription of the Jenss/Berger marriage is found at:
https://familysearch.org
Missing details include birthplace, witnesses, name of person performing the marriage (helpful if a religious ceremony).

There are about 180 Jens / Jenss entries in my index. It's a secondary resource, but you may find these newspapers helpful in the future for your Jenss or Berger ancestors.

"Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
