Paul E. Marten, 74, Town of Easton, died this morning at 2 o'clock in a local hospital after a lingering illness.
The Rev. Paul Huth, of Grace Lutheran Church at Ringle, will officiate at funeral services in the Helke Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be at Forestville Cemetery in the Town of Easton. The body will be in the funeral home Wednesday noon.
He was born May 25, 1886, in Sheboygan County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Marten, and married Ida Goetz in the Town of Easton Aug. 24, 1909. She died March 24, 1931. He was a carpenter by trade.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence Marten, 1612 Marten St., Lester Marten, Bowler, and Herbert Marten, Town of Easton; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Wierman, Waldo, and Mrs. William Taylor, 719 Sturgeon Eddy Rd.; five brothers, Fred Marten, Wausau, William Marten, Sheboygan Falls, August Marten, Town of Easton, Frank Marten, Schofield, and Edwin Marten, Aniwa; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
