Jefferson---Romayne J. "Moose" Christianson, 76, of Jefferson died on Tuesday, Jan. 09, 2001 at his home. Born in Cambridge on January 15, 1924 to John and Blanche (Westin) Christianson, he married Erma Goers of Lake Mills on April 19, 1947, in Lake Mills. He attended high school in Cambridge and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He had been in the excavating and trucking business for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, a past president of Jefferson Snowstormers Snowmobile Club and a member of the Endl-Grunnert Congressional Medal of Honor Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3589.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Larry (Jo) of Jefferson; one daughter, Peggy (Robert) Haas, of Jefferson; six grandchilfren, Russell (Kara) Christianson, Kevin (Tricia) Christianson, Travis (Lisa) Haas, Kimberly (Guy) Hartman, Brad (Irene) Haas, Chad Haas; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Alderene Steepleton of Pueblo, Colo.

He was predeceased by his parents; two half-brothers, and one half-sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. Paul Evangelical Church in Lake Mills with the Rev. James E. Rath officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery with military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at the Claussen-Bouslough Funeral Home in Lake Mills and after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of services. Memorials may be made to the Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson.
