Bernadine `Bernie' Furrer, of Palmyra

Memorial services will be Friday for Bernadine "Bernie" Furrer, 79, a 30-year resident of Palmyra, who died Tuesday at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.
A former Waukesha resident, she was a member of Little Prairie Methodist Church. While living in Waukesha, she and her husband, Lester, owned and operated a root beer stand on White Rock Ave. from 1948 to 1958.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, LeRoy (Linda), of San Jose, Calif., Leland (Barbara), of Rhinelander, and Eugene (Sue), of Little Prairie; one daughter, Linda Graffin (Leroy Klatt), of Waukesha; one brother, Maurice Rheingans, of Inverness, Fla.; two sisters, Geraldine Haase, of Janesville, and Mildred (Carlos) Arneson, of Lakeland, Fla.; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Friday until the memorial services at 3:30 at the church, Highway 67 and Palmyra Road. The Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home, 500 N. East Ave., Waukesha, is handling the arrangements.
