DANNY C. “CHAPPIE” CHAPMAN
Danny Clark “Chappie” Chapman, 58, of Canvas,
WV died Friday, October 26, 2012 in the
Summersville Regional Medical Center. Born August
17, l954 at Summersville, WV, he was a son of Iris
Rose Hutchinson Chapman of Canvas and the late
Forrest Chapman. He was also preceded in death by
two brothers, Steve Chapman and Rodney
He was a Methodist and was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are his wife of thirty seven years, Susan
R. Cook Chapman; one daughter, Ashlee Rene
Chapman of Canvas; one grandson, Noah Hines; his
mother, Iris Rose Chapman of Canvas; one sister,
Linda Buck of Canvas; and one brother, Mark
Chapman of Muddlety; and numerous nieces and
nephews who will deeply miss him.
In keeping with his wishes the body was cremated.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday, November 4, 2012 in the Jordan Chapel
United Methodist Church at Canvas with Pastor
David Acree and Pastor Paul Mateer officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on
Sunday one-hour prior to the memorial services.
White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge
of the arrangements.
Mark Andrew Chapman
Mark Andrew Chapman, 65, of Muddlety, WV died
Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his Residence. Born
October 5, 1949 at Canvas he is the son of Iris Hutchinson
Chapman and of the late Forest Chapman. He is also
preceded in death by his three brothers, Rodney, Steve,
He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, member
of the NRA, member of the American Legion, was a
Christian by faith, and devoted husband who loved his
family very much.
Survivors include his loving wife, Alice Griffith
Chapman; mother, Iris Hutchinson Chapman; one sister,
Linda Buck; three children, Mark, Sterling, and Veronica;
step children, David Thomas, John Thomas, and Shelly
Tuckwiller; eight step grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the White Funeral Home at
Summersville with Pastor Bob Friend officiating.
