According to an Act in Advance of Succession on 20 May 1661 in Tinchebray, France (before Guy Halley and Isaac Ybert, royal notaries) Jean DuChemin divided his estate in Tinchebray between his six sons: David, Isaac, Daniel, Samuel, Charles, and Jean. A copy of this document was provided to Keith Dishman, nephew of Dishman researcher James D. Dishman, Lyncburg, VA by a French DuChemin researcher, Jacky Delafontenelle.
According to this document, Isaac and Samuel are brothers and they owned property together in France as they did in Westmoreland, VA when they purchased land together in 1693/1694 from Malachi Peale.

Keith Dishman has designed a wonderful website where he has assembled the treasures he collected from other family researchers as well as his own "diggings." His family group sheets are unique, enhanced with stories and photos and the sources are well cited. It is the best collection of early Dishman history in American. Please take time to read Keith's wonderful compilation of Dishman facts.
