MARTIN SMITH MENTIONED IN LEASE BETWEEN WILLIAM HARILL AND SUSANNAH TO ALLEN WILEY 1780
[Lease] 9 Feb 1780. Between WILLIAM HARILL and SUSANNAH his wife of COUNTY OF FREDERICK to ALLEN WILEY of COUNTY OF SPOTSYLVANIA---consideration of five shillings---tract of land lying and being on the SOUTH RIVER OF SHANANDOE ---in which bounds there is contained 83 ACRES of land it being part of a tract of 416 acres granted to THOMAS CHESTOR---THOMAS CHESTOR being possessed with said land did in his last will and testament authorizes and appoint CHARLES BUCK and JAMES MCKAY his Exors. to grant and convey 416 acres to THOMAS, DAVID, EDWARD, MARTIN, and NATHAN SMITH by their deed the 14th Sept 1756 said SMITHS conveyed the above said 83 acres to said WILLIAM HARRELL by their deed the 2nd March 1776 said WILLIAM HARRELL doth convey unto said ALLEN WILEY---yielding and paying rent of one pepper corn on Lady day next---
