Emelia Maxine Mortensen Folster Wilson passed away on
September 15, 2005 in Green Valley, AZ. Maxine was born in Ephraim, UT on October 14, 1915 to Allen C. and Lula Zeretta Folster. She graduated from high school in Moab, UT and later graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in home economics where she earned the 1937 Noble Medal for BYU Home Economics Award. As such, she was a talented homemaker and a teacher of home economics in the Arizona public school system.
Maxine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-
day Saints and served as the Relief Society president of her
ward in Nogales, AZ where she lived from 1960-1977.
She was a full-time resident of the Kanab area between 1977
and 2002 and volunteered as the Boy Scout Troop 362 Advancement Chairwoman in Kanab’s Second Ward from 1987-1988.
Maxine enjoyed traveling all over the world. Maxine is survived by her children, Allen Ray Wilson, Marolynn Watson, and Douglas Folster Wilson, as well as by
nine grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Zeretta Folster of Salina, UT, her beloved husband, Ray, of Kanab, UT, her sisters Helen Leaming of Salina, UT and Fern Wright of Hurricane, UT.

to the Kanab City Library via the Friends of the Kanab City
