I am researching my son-in-law’s ancestry and seem to have hit a dead end in Red River County.
I have gotten to Edward P. Pearson b. 1875/80 Texas, m. in 1896 in Red River County to Fannie Liggons b. ca. 1878 Texas.
They were resident Red River County at least from 1904 - 1920 and I suspect lifelong there. I think Ed died around 1920 and Fannie probably before 1930. This is a black family.
Their children: Alice ca.1898 m. ? Johnson, Irene ca.1899, Othel/Theota/Buddy 1900, Azuna ca. 1904 m. ? Bennett, Willow College 1904-1940, Mildred 1908 m. George Washington Cole, Mary Jane ca.1912 m. Rufus Houston, Lawrence V. ca.1913, Virgil/Versa Lee ca. 1915, Annie R. ca. 1919.
For seeming to be in one place for so long, they are certainly elusive. I would appreciate any help possible and of course am willing to share all information that I have.
Many thanks!
