You may look in the old Shiloh Cemetery. I have done clean up work in the cemetery several years back. It is very old and at least one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence is buried there. I.D. Lawson
is a familiar name in my studies of Red River County. Shiloh in on County Road 3202 near the northeast corner of FM 1700 and FM 1159. It is about 4 miles west of the White Rock Cemetery. I was at White Rock for the burial of Jessie Stiles (Jr) back in June this year. Jessie was a big man at Tex Tech in the athletic dept. It was hot that day and my head has not cleared up since. Lawson's home was about half way between White Rock and Shiloh cemeteries and south of the Madras Cemetery on FM 3205 about a mile maybe. His home was used as the courthouse of Red River County after Jonesboro and before Clarksville was voted to be the county seat.
