There is something about your family in Red River Recollections. It was placed by a Pauline (Ruth) Patterson. I will type it here just as it is shown in the book.
My grandmother, Susan M. Cook, was born in Georgia in 1864. I find her first on census records in Independence Co., Ar. 1880 as the stepdaughter of William A. (Bill) Teasley. (1842-1904) He was a Conferderate soldier. Her mother was Magdalene J., born in Germany 1844. Other family members were: William Roscoe, B. 1870 in Alabama; Luellen, 1873; George W. 1877; Freddy and Eddy 1879, all born in Ar. Susan married James E. Kilmer 1886 in Red River Co., Tx. He was born in Mo., son of B.B. and Manda Sparkman. He died in 1906. They had the following children: (1) Dillie D. (1888-1966) m. W.G. Ruth in 1906; (2) Ernest E. (1891-1927) m. Litha Ruth in 1910; (3) Maggie (1892-1980) m. R.J. Ussery in 1911; (4) James Arch (1894-1966) m. Effie Ruth 2nd Beatrice Frazier 1926; and (5) Lillie Bell (1896-1960).
My grandmother, whom I never knew, died before 1900 and is buried in Lane's Chapel. Red River Co., Tex. I need the names of her parents for my genealogy research and would appreciate any information being sent to me at 159 Imperial, Dennison, Texas 75020.
THis is the way the article appeared in Red River Recollections. I hope this is in some way beneficial to you.
