Looked at your tree and believe you need additional research? They certainly did not marry in Morris County, TX. The most logical place for the nuptials was Daviess, KY. "James" Higgs registered for WWI Draft there and listed Pearl (wife) as next-of-kin. There's no evidence the family ever set foot in Texas. Your tree dates Charles Lloyd Higgs' birth in 1936. That's consistent with 1940 Daviess, KY census. The father had died and eldest son Hugh was head-of-household with his mom and siblings. If you trace Hugh on earlier census you'll find consistency. Therefore, Charles Lloyd's father was James>grandfather was Elihu>great grand was possibly Alexander.
