Felipe Perez Jr., 67, of Sharp, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at his home. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Msgr. John Frizzelle officiating. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Perez was born in Yorktown on Dec. 8, 1937, the son of Estella (Acuna) and Felipe Perez, Sr. He was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and had been employed in farm labor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, one sister and two infant brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Santos Perez of Sharp; three daughters, Esmeralda Perez and husband Ignacio Cruz of Sharp, Angelita Perez of Bryan, Anita Zapata and husband, Alfonzo of Austin; sons, Jimmy Perez and wife, Beth of Sharp, Santos Perez of Mathis; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah DeLeon of Tahoka, Margarita Hernandez of Taylor, Elisa Garcia of Sharp, Sally Yanez of Rockdale; brothers, Obaldo Perez of Granger, Faustino Perez, of Georgetown, Panfilio Perez of Jonah, and Jimmy Perez of Sharp.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Perez, Ray Villanueva, Anthony Delgado, Adam Zapata, Michael Delgado, Gilbert Perez, Panfilio Perez Jr. and Gabriel Perez.
