FOLLOWING INFORMATION TAKEN FROM "You Know You Grew Up in Southlake Texas...." ON FACEBOOK:
"Jinx, Eugie and their older brother Emery were the grandkids of John Chisolm (the cattle baron of Lincoln County, NM War fame). Chisolm bought their slave grandmother, Jensie, in 1848 in Paris, Tx for $1500. They never married but they raised their 2 daughters, Meady (Jinx, Eugie and Emery's mom) and Harriet, together."
ADDITION INFO: Jinks Jones used to operate the Grapevine Auction Barn (no longer there) at the corner of Hwy. 114 & White Chapel Blvd. in Southlake (between Dallas & Fort Worth). There is now a large community park/sports complex on the north side of Southlake named the Bob Jones Nature Center after his father. The Southlake Historical Society posted a great deal of information about Bob Jones who married Almeady Chisum. Perhaps they could put you in touch with his grandson Bobby Jones whose picture appears on their site located at: http://www.southlakehistory.org/bob-jones.html
