Thanks HL2604 (don't know your name)....
I don't think that this Lola is mine..My Felix Cook, and yes he is also the one in the Carlsbad Census in 1920/1930 with his 3rd marriage. He married a second time after the death of Forrest in Abilene...to a Mable Henderson in 1909 at Oklahoma City (I have a photo of her). A letter from Felix's son Edgar to his aunt(my grandmother)as well as Army records for Edgar put them in Kansas City for a while after that. He mentions that he, and sisters Lola and Forrest are the only children still at home.
Still have not found Felix and wife Mable/family on the 1910 cenus. (except Edgar and Marvin who were living with family at Cuero in 1910)...In 1915 they were in Kansas City, where Edgar enlisted. When Edgar died in WWI-France,1918, Felix was notified at his KC address. The Kansas City Census, 1920, has Mable and step-daughters Lola and Forrest and Mable's daughter from previous marriage+ her son. The same month, Felix is in Carlsbad with new wife.
I have Lola married to a Jay Rardin in 1930 with a Forrest living with them as a lodger...am still getting additional documentation that this is the correct Lola...she died in Nevada.
Already had the info on David Robert Cook in my "pending" file...The only reason I was looking at the Harris County Marvin Cook was that one of the 3 records on Family Search for this death has a middle name of Felix....but never in any other information that I have, including a passport app, does he use a middle name. My Marvin wrote his birthdate on the passport app as 9/2/1894..the SSDI for the Harris County Marvin says 9/22/1894. Typos have been know to happen. I am going to get the SSN app and try for the death cert to see if I can get corraboration of parents.
